Half Turkish, half Martian, Asli Filinta has been shocking terrestrials fashion critics since graduating from Parsons School of Design. Her latest "Kisses can Fly" collection features pieces ranging from avant-garde dresses to tongue-in-cheek t-shirts. Her style caught the eye of fellow Martians (a.k.a editors of Vogue Nippon) and in collaboration with Comme des Garcons, the magazine recently opened a concept pop-up store in Tokyo which boasts specially made products from Chanel, Chlo, Pierre Hardy, Lanvin and Asli Filinta. Based somewhere between New York and Istanbul, Asli mixes Grand Bazaar exotiqueness with Brooklyn anti-conformism. "Kisses Can Fly" came out from the love story between two Towers in Istanbul in the Ottoman history. Also featured is Asli's Spring/Summer collection "Fools Experiments".
